The home is set in Upperton residential area of 'Sunny Eastbourne' on the south coast. The area is quiet and peaceful. The home is situated approximately 15 minutes walk from the town centre with its variety of shops, facilities, library, General Practitioners surgeries and dental practices. There is a bus stop by the home.

The home has beautiful secluded gardens enabling the service users to enjoy their time out in privacy. Many of the rooms that are south facing overlook into the home's garden and the view from some of them extends to the seafront and large part of Eastbourne. The management make a great effort to ensure that the gardens are well maintained to enable the people who use them have enjoyable and pleasant time.

The home is a character building of three floors accessible by lift and Stannah Chair stair lifts and has wheelchair access throughout the building and into the gardens. There are nineteen single and three shared rooms tastefully and fully furnished. However, the residents are encouraged to bring their own belongings and items that will enable them to feel in familiar surroundings, just like at home.

The home has been recently refurbished. The rooms are equipped with a nurse call system to enable residents to call for assistance any time, hydraulic and electrical beds, washing and toileting facilities, and have available specialised mattresses and cushions to prevent pressure wounds. Rooms are also equipped with hydraulic over bed/chair tables to enable service users to have a comfortable breakfast in bed if they so wish to or to meet their needs. The home also has a number of facilities and equipment available for people with restricted mobility and high dependency needs such as Parker and Invacare baths and shower rooms, Oxford and Invacare hoists.

Our aim is to enable the people who use our services to feel relaxed in their new environment and create comfortable and homely atmosphere with communal areas where they can make new friends, socialise and take part in our group activities or spend some quiet time in the privacy of their own rooms if they so wish to.

Safety is very important in our philosophy and we aim to offer as safe and secure an environment as possible for our service users. All exits to the home are secured so that nobody can just walk in and service users can only leave the house or garden if accompanied by a member of staff competent to keep them safe, and in the full knowledge of the senior staff on duty. Access to the building is only possible through a security system operated by staff.
